Saipan’s average year-round maximum temperature is 84 °F or 28.9 °C, and with little seasonal temperature variation, you can pretty much leave your warm coat back at home at any time of the year! Currency used in Saipan

Saipan’s currency is the US$ or USD.

A Bank of Hawaii ATM is located at our own Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan for withdrawing local currency, otherwise the First Hawaiian Bank Oleai Branch is also nearby and provides a money exchange service.

Credit cards are also widely accepted in Saipan.

Mobile phone use in Saipan

Avoid costly roaming charges by purchasing a local prepaid SIM card in Saipan and swapping it for the existing one in your cell phone for the duration of your stay. Ask our concierge to assist you with information and directions to our local cellular service stores.

The other option is to make use of the complimentary WI-FI available to guests at our resort for internet-based calls and data usage on our property.

Transportation around Saipan

Hiring a rental car is a popular choice in Saipan, for the uncrowded and scenic driving experience. Foreign visitors can use their home country licenses for up to 1 month. A few rental car companies operate in Saipan, please ask our concierge if you require assistance with identifying a suitable provider.

A shuttle bus operates from the Duty Free Shopping Galleria in Garapan to select locations.

Saipan power voltage/adapter

On the Northern Mariana Islands the standard voltage is 120 V as per the US and Canada. Type B and A plug sockets are both commonly used.

Saipan’s Tap Water is safe to drink. International brands of bottled water are also available, and bottled water is recommended to keep with you on your daily activities to keep hydrated!
